The low-backlash, explosion-proof planetary servo gearmotors from the PS(K)F..CMP.. series stand out from the crowd as they are extremely cost-effective and flexible.

This is achieved through the compact combination of powerful planetary gear units and dynamic synchronous servomotors from the CMP.. series. Planetary servo gear units account for constantly low rotational clearances, high torsional rigidity and torque. The synchronous servomotors provide precise control and high dynamics.

This enables you to optimally coordinate different precision sequences and achieve powerful performance, even with high cycle rate requirements. Thanks to their high degree of efficiency, reliability, and durability, our explosion-proof planetary servo gearmotors offer you an economically sound modular solution. The PS(K).F..CMP.. explosion-proof planetary servo gearmotors are available in equipment group II in categories II2GD (for stand-alone gear units with adapters only) and II3GD (for directly mounted planetary servo gearmotors).

Certification according to ATEX includes equipment group II and equipment category 3. The combinations are available in II3GD and II3D design.

  • Compliant with Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX), or as of April 20, 2016 of the EU Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX), equipment group II, equipment category 3
    • Category II 3GD, for use in zones 2 / 22
    • Category II 3D, for use in zone 22
    • also available with brake and Hiperface® encoder (with electronic nameplate) in category 3D
